Chris Diaz began his first season as Mahwah’s head football coach without a great deal of promise and with only four veteran players on hand.
It took plenty of work, determination and patience, and Diaz, a former Mahwah linebacker, needed a number of young athletes to mature in a hurry.
“Kyle has all the tools,” Diaz, a longtime member of previous coach Jeff Remo’s staff as defensive coordinator prior to his promotion.
