Over the course of four months after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, Mahwah resident Al Seneca documented recovery and cleanup efforts at Ground Zero.But while a legion of responders brought shovels, hard hats and buckets, Seneca discreetly carried a camera.

Over the next four months, Seneca would amass a cache of more than 100 photos that trace a loose timeline of the Ground Zero cleanup.
