Jake Garza and Robert Taylor scored second half goals to propel fifth-seeded Mahwah over eighth-seeded Pequannock, 2-0, in the semifinals of the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 2 tournament in Mahwah.
Taylor assisted on Garza’s goals while Malcolm Mashig assisted on Taylor’s goal.
Goalie Arjan Bhasin earned the shutout making four saves.
With the win, Mahwah moves on to the final round where they will meet either second-seeded Pascack Hills or sixth-seeded Newton this Friday.
