Jennifer Merz is a local author and illustrator of three children’s books. Her most recent book, Steadfast: Frances Perkins, Champion of Workers’ Rights, is the story of Frances Perkins. Frances Perkins was a young and recent college graduate who was eyewitness to the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire in 1911.
