I want to congratulate Mayor Bill Laforet for appointing recent Mahwah Council candidates Vicky Galow and Susan Steinberg to the Mahwah Planning Board.
Galow and Steinberg did not win their Council race, but they worked so hard knocking on doors, listening to residents, and diving deep into the critical issues facing Mahwah, including affordable housing.
Galow and Steinberg are already doing their due diligence for the Planning Board, as they seek meetings with the Township Engineer and Township Planner and personally inspect minor subdivisions on the Planning Board agenda.
Their commitment, intelligence and ability to cooperate will serve Mahwah well.
