On Sunday December 10, 2017 at 1:15 p.m. Alex Michelini, founder of the Joyce Kilmer Society of Mahwah, will present a gallery talk about Joyce Kilmer’s life in Mahwah.
This talk will take place in the upstairs gallery of the Mahwah Museum.
Joyce Kilmer was still a budding young poet in New York City, virtually unknown in major literary circles, when he purchased two plots of land in Mahwah’s Cragmere Park in 1911 and moved into his new house in 1912.
“It’s the chief thing I thank Him for of all the splendid things He’s given me – this home of mine.” This is the story of Joyce Kilmer’s discovery of the magic of Mahwah.
