Doblin: Tell your friend Veronica, Mahwah’s eruv is allowed for Hanukkah

I don’t know if there is such a thing as the miracle of Hanukkah, but if there is, it occurred Thursday in Mahwah, the third day of Hanukkah.

The Bergen County portion of the eruv was a religious accommodation needed for Orthodox Jews living in Rockland County, N.Y. The hysteria that Mahwah was going to be “Infiltrated” with Orthodox Jews was based on nothing but ignorance and fear, the most deadly duo there is in life.
