Vito Trause is 92 years old with a bald head, quick mind and a deep love for football and the Westwood Cardinals.

Vito Trause holds up an oversized Westwood football helmet during the Cardinals’ sectional championship victory in 2006.But Uncle Sam needed Vito’s legs more.

If you’re lucky, Vito will tell you about the old days in Carlstadt when everyone knew everybody, the days fighting in the war, and playing baseball against Larry Doby.And yes, if you’re really lucky, you’ll hear the story of Vito Trause in Paris.
