Campus Remembers September 11 Attacks

MAHWAH, N.J. – Ramapo College students, staff and faculty gathered at the Arch to reflect on the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

Joseph Barbato, full-time student and president of the Veterans Student Organization on campus, said, “The events of September 11 impacted all Americans. Sixteen years later, we remember.”

Members of the College’s Student Government Association, VSO, First Responders Club, Leaders in Service and College staff placed an estimated 2,900 small flags in the campus Grove to represent each of the lives lost during the attacks.

Ramapo College offers courses leading to teacher certification at the elementary and secondary levels.
